The European Federation was formed in 2004 by the French, German and Italian association. Belgium, Spain and the UK joined closely after. In 2017 FR2S from Luxembourg entered the Federation.
ECSSA currently counts six national member associations in European countries.
The primary objectives of ECSSA are:
Mrs. Valerie Schena Ehrenberger (Italy) is the current Chairman of the Federation.
ECSSA has managed successfully to: raise standards, provide a business indicator (ECSSA State of Industry Barometer), promote cross fertilization within Europe.
The association of Search & Selection consultancies representing the profession in each country may become a member of the Confederation.
The ECSSA State of the Industry Barometer is a tool that assesses the sentiment of the Search & Selection market on a quarterly basis.
